Family Series

In the search for identity, what it means, and how we become who we are, I have always been led back to family. The people who raise us and who we grow up with play a big part in who we become as adults. Because of this I've decided to begin answering the questions of identity by photographing my family. During this process I've realized how hard it is find family members in complete silence giving how busy life can be. I've accompanied photographs of these silent moments with details of their surroundings to create visual pauses.

I've been working on this series a few months now and it's far from finished. For now, it's titled "Family Series" until I find a better title. A few of the photographs have been exhibited in a couple of galleries in downtown Phoenix during the past few months.
