A few weeks ago I submitted three photographs to a juried show and, to my surprise, two of my photographs were accepted! I'm really excited because it's the first time I've ever had my work in a gallery and accepted into a juried show. I'm also very honored because the show was juried by Mark Klett, an amazing photographer and professor at ASU. The show is up at Capture 12 gallery right now, owned by Stephen Gittins, and is located on 4th St. and Roosevelt, in the heart of First Friday in Downtown Phoenix. The first time I visited the gallery was when I dropped of my pieces for the show. It's a great space; small and intimate.

The show is called 12 Captured and features 12 photographers. The reception was held on March 6th on First Friday. It was great seeing so many people there; there was a constant flow of people the entire time. It was great seeing a show with so much diversity too. All the photographs were different subjects, sizes, and formats. One of the photographs was even a tintype.
 

I had a really great time and I'm really grateful for being featured in such a great show. Last night was the opening and the show will go up until March 27th. If you didn't have a chance to go for First Friday, you should definitely visit for Third Friday. Thanks to everyone who was there and has supported me.
